We are looking to hire an Accountant (Logistics industry).

OBJECTIVE:

This role contributes to the success of the Company and to its long-term growth. ITN Logistics has differentiated itself by providing a comprehensive program to ensure exceptional and unique customer service. The accountant is responsible for ensuring pro-active timely, accurate, and quality policies and procedures, systems, and processes are followed.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Achieve Department and personal objectives for the Year.
• Prepare financial statements and variance analysis on accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations.
• Preparing payments.
• Preparation of monthly management report deliverables.
• Perform inter-company and accounts reconciliations.
• Manage government filings and pay remittances in a timely manner.
• Preparation of year-end schedules and financial statements to Auditors for group companies.
• Participate in special projects/ad-hoc reporting as required.
• Identify and implement financial process improvements.
• Supervise Agent Accounting clerks.
• Assist CFO by providing financial and cost analysis reports.
• Liaise with business groups and other Corporate-departments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

Technical Skills:
The incumbent must have a related accounting designation and have 5 years of knowledge and experience in the following areas:

• Either CPA designation or currently working towards it (required).
• Core knowledge of accounting and strong technical reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Proficiency in Cargowise integrated software is required.

Business Strategy Skills & Industry Knowledge:

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to contribute support and enhance the ITN team. Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments.
• Establish accounting to be a productive service to the company.
• Experience working in a logistics company is an asset.
• Ability to work well under tight deadlines.
• Demonstrate high personal integrity.
• A logical mind with the capacity and flexibility to overcome difficult problems creatively.
• A flexible and agile mind with the capacity to overcome difficult objections creatively.
• Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, foster innovation.
• The ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with all existing and potential clients as well as all key members of the ITN team.
• Technical knowledge of the industry trends as they might create opportunities and challenges.

Expected salary

$65000 – 70000 per year
