Our team, experts in finance, speak your language and operate in your world.I am looking for an accountant, for my client in Montreal. This is a permanent position.
Your responsibilities will be:
– Perform daily accounting operations such as journal entries, account and bank reconciliations, government
bank reconciliations, government remittances, etc.
– Prepare monthly reports for customers, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, trial balances, etc.
– Prepare and enter journal entries.
– Process supplier invoices.
– Prepare and submit tax returns and related payments.
– Prepare cash disbursements, including checks and wire transfers.
– Respond to requests from head office, other departments, customers and suppliers.
– Invoice customers and apply payments to their accounts.
– Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.
– Prepare reconciliation of balance sheet accounts.
– Assist the municipal accountant.
– Support Assistant Controller and General Manager in budget preparation.
– Assist with internal and external audits.
– Perform other related tasks as required.– Experience of 3 to 4 years or more in a similar role.
– Accounting degree or equivalent.
– Open-mindedness to change and constant desire to learn new skills.
– Ability to meet deadlines, even under pressure.
– Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
– Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
– Intermediate to advanced MS Office/Office 365 skills.
