In this role you will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day accounting and reporting support of all transits under Corporate Functions Marketing
- Ensure all transactions are supported with appropriate documentation, verified and authorized in accordance with department’s standard procedures / staff expense claims are in accordance with Bank policies, tracking progress as applicable.
- Review all invoices and expense statements to ensure accurate HST assessment and determines HST implications on every invoice and expense reports
- Respond to inquiries and requests on invoices and all other accounts payable issues
- Investigate accounting issues including vendor related
- Provide administrative support including ongoing support to commercial card holders
- Manage the record keeping of expenses by saving invoices electronically in shared folder and posting invoice information into invoice tracker
- Process month end and quarter end close by preparing accruals, deferrals and reclassification entries for Corporate Functions Marketing transits.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions
- Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct

- Good working knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- The ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Proven ability to ensure that work is completed correctly, thoroughly, timely and is of high quality
- Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
- The ability to anticipate underlying customer needs, add value, and correcting problems promptly and un-defensively
- Adaptivity to accommodate changes in the situation, organization, or job requirements.
- The ability to remain calm under stress while meeting tight deadlines
