We AIM for excellence.Job DescriptionAs an Accounting Analyst, you will report directly to the Accounting Supervisor and be part of the team responsible for part of the Quebec operations, based at the Montreal head office.

  • Ensure the accuracy of accounting records
  • Develop and maintain financial planning activities (various tools/objectives/budgets)
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment
  • Prepare and present monthly and annual financial statements
  • Provide regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances and opportunities for improvement
  • Perform monthly and year-end closing tasks
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects to optimize processes and reduce financial reporting cycle times
  • Develop and prepare various value-added financial analyses
  • Ensure compliance with tax obligations by preparing and submitting tax returns in accordance with applicable tax legislation
  • Work closely with the company’s various partners to understand their businesses, help them understand their financial drivers and challenge their assumptions
  • Collaborate with other departments to obtain necessary information and resolve accounting issues
  • Handle audit requests by collaborating with external auditors, providing the necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements.

Qualifications

  • University degree in accounting or finance
  • At least 3 years’ experience in accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel
  • Autonomy, attention to detail, analytical skills and sense of responsibility
  • Bilingualism (French/English)
  • Experience with reporting tools (Cognos, Power BI)
