Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client looking for an Accounting Analyst. The Accounting Analyst will help evaluate this organization’s income and spending by working closely with the accounting and finance departments. This is a highly collaborative role, so the Accounting Analyst will have excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.Major responsibilities
- Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid accurately and in accordance with Finance policies and procedures
- Perform the processing of functional and benefits expense allocations, monthly accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses, fixed assets depreciation and recording of adjusting and reclassification journal entries, if necessary.
- Bank reconciliation daily and generate the discrepancy summary report monthly.
- Perform general accounts analysis and reconciliations, including fixed assets, employer’s benefit costs, accruals and prepaid expenses.
- Manage the tax filing and communicate with related issue
- Review AR aging report and credit note transactions monthly
- Conduct monthly financial report analysis
- Prepare the monthly accounting reports
- Experience working in Excel and other large ERPs
- BS in accounting or finance
- Strong interpersonal skills and analytical thinking
- 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, data analysis or similar role
- Team player and can collaborate with other teams in the organization
- Demonstrate a proficient level of professional skill and/or knowledge in accounting and keep current with developments and trends.
- Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management
