Join usThe accounting clerk plays a key role in providing administrative and accounting support, ranging from preparing documents and bank deposits to resolving accounting issues. They ensure compliance with standards and laws, manage communication with suppliers, perform bank reconciliation for clients, and address various client reporting needs and inquiries, thereby contributing to the financial stability of the company.WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
- Provide accounting and administrative support to the accounting department.
- Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records.
- Prepare bank deposits, entries in the general ledger.
- Enter daily financial transaction data into the database.
- Provide assistance and support to company staff.
- Research, track, and resolve accounting or documentation issues and discrepancies.
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on areas of activity.
- Operate in accordance with established applicable standards, procedures, and laws.
- Reconcile credit cards.
- Manage emails, scan, and answer the phone.
- Follow-up and communication with suppliers.
ESSENTIALS SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSUFUL
- Experience in accounting, preferably as an accounts receivable clerk or accounts payable clerk
- Fluency in French and English
- High school diploma
- Accounting certification is an asset
- Knowledge of accounting procedures and basic bookkeeping
- Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Data entry
- Organizational skills and resourcefulness
