Position: Accounting Clerk
Location: Downtown Toronto (hybrid: 4-days remote)
Quantum Management Services has an immediate requirement for an Accounting Clerk with an insurance client Downtown. Your main duties involve processing vendor invoices, managing payments, reconciling accounts, and pursuing outstanding balances.
Responsibilities:
– Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment.
– Address any discrepancies in reconciling vendor statements.
– Maintain records of accounts payable transactions.
– Handle employee expense reimbursements.
– Monitor aging accounts receivable and pursue overdue balances.
– Maintain precise records while processing client payments.
– Verify financial accuracy by reconciling bank statements.
– Provide support during month-end and year-end closing procedures.
– Prepare financial reports, including AP and AR aging reports.
– Assist with payroll processing and other financial tasks as needed.
– Perform additional assigned duties under the direction of the Accounting Manager.
Qualifications:
– High school diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Business Administration or related field is advantageous.
– 6+ months of experience in a similar role.
– Familiarity with fundamental accounting principles and procedures.
– Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and Word.
– Prior exposure to accounting software, preferably QuickBooks.
