Robert Half is partnering with a client looking to add an Accounting Manager to their Finance team in the Ottawa-West region. This is a full-time/permanent role on site.Advantages:-Competitive salary (75-80K)-Full benefits-3 weeks vacation-Free parkingResponsibilities:-Ensure that accounts payable are paid in a timely manner within due dates-Ensure AP/AR statements of account are accurate-Ensure that all reasonable discounts are taken on accounts payable-Ensure that accounts receivable are collected promptly-Process payroll in a timely manner-Ensure that periodic bank reconciliations are completed-Ensure that required debt payments are made on a timely basis-Maintain an orderly accounting filing system-Implement and maintain ERP systems and transactions-Maintain the chart of accounts-Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions-Process commissions in a timely manner-Process Tax Remittances-Ensure petty cash reconciliation is completed-Maintain an employee banked hours spreadsheet-Ensure sick days & vacation days are logged-Month end/Year end procedures-Ensure there is a method and tracking of all assets-Complete cashflow statements-Weekly Cash Position Report-Financial Statements issuing-Establish and document all process and procedures for their direct reports and functional area-Employee Performance Reviews-Bank ReportsQualifications:-Post-secondary education in Finance, Accounting or related field-3+ years’ experience in a similar role-Ability to manage personnel-Excellent computer skills, in particular use of Excel and accounting ERP systems-Ability to communicate both in writing and orally with staff and other functional groups-Excellent attention to detail and organization skills-Ability to multitaskRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
