Requisition ID: 198237Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for carrying out Investment Advisor requests in a prompt and efficient manner in accordance with Service Level Agreement, while ensuring that Scotia McLeod Inc. Policies and Industry Regulations are adhered to at all times. Perform all accounting duties for branches across Canada.This is a 12 month term position.Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Authorize withdrawals of cash and/or securities from client accounts in accordance with established Policies and Procedures
- Approve the transfer of money and securities between accounts
- Provide continuing education for the Sales force, identify problems, and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Review and approve foreign exchange conversions
- Complete sundry duties as assigned
- Ensure incoming phone calls are answered promptly
- Answer queries by email same day
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Minimum high school education with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in Customer Service in the financial industry
- University degree is an asset
- Proficient in Accounting, Bookkeeping and PC skills
- Ability to take initiative and employ creative problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
