Job Description

The Accounting Representative will be responsible of handling daily accounting tasks for multiple entities, which include Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

Key accountabilities:

  • Support in day-to day accounting tasks and ensure efficiency & accuracy of records.
  • Issue customer invoices and post vendor bills on a timely basis.
  • Reconcile weekly sales in the system to master file.
  • Reconcile discrepancies/short payments in the master file to vendor statement.
  • Prepare weekly pay run to vendors.
  • Apply customer payments and issue refund to customer in the system.
  • Send weekly statement and solicit clients for payment if needed.
  • Assist with month end closing (recurring journal entries and bank reconciliation)
  • Reconcile intercompany balances.
  • Assist with monthly sales tax declarations and filings.
  • Assists with any ad-hoc requests (master data update, credit check, etc.).

Qualifications

  • Excellent command in spoken and written English with bilingualism (French and English) preferred.
  • Autonomy, initiative, and teamwork.
  • Experience working in fast paced environments.
  • Minimum of 1-year experience.
  • CargoWise experience an asset.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft office applications, strong Excel skills required; knowledge of Power BI (asset).
  • Strong communication skills for negotiation and reconciliation.
