Accounts Assistant- part timeLocation: SalfordSalary: circa £25,000- £30,00 pro rataHours: Between 25 to 30 hours a week between the hours of 8.45 to 5.15pm- days and hours can be relatively flexibleOffice based roleWe are currently recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join an established business based in Salford, on a part time basis.The business has a family culture throughout, and you will join a small, supportive finance team. The role involves assisting the finance manager and financial controller, and working closely with current Accounts Assistant to ensure all the required tasks of the finance team are carried out, accurately and in a timely manner.Key responsibilities include:

• All aspects of sales invoicing including managing customer invoice queries, credit control procedures, updating customer portals etc
• All aspects of purchase invoicing including processing invoices onto the system, assisting with internal authorisation, completing supplier statement reconciliations, supplier queries etc
• Assist in the processing of daily cash onto the accounting system
• Bank reconciliation
• Manage the allocation of customer receipts against the appropriate customer ledger
• Calculation of accruals and prepayments
• Assist in the process of nominal ledger analysis
• Assistance in stock reconciliations and stock takes

Experience and requirements:

• Excellent communication skills
• Positive, can-do attitude – A positive, friendly attitude is very important
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong attention to detail
• The ability to prioritise deadlines within a varied workload
• Prior knowledge of Sage 200 is desirable but not essential
• A reasonable knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word
