The Central Accounting Services Team here at RSK are looking to recruit Accounts Assistants to join their team. Training will be full time in our Helsby office, and once trained after 6 months you may be given the opportunity to work hybrid. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week.The Helsby-based Central Accounting Services Team delivers transactional accounting, period-end close and compliance reporting services for a large number of Group businesses (currently c. 70) located throughout the UK and Europe. The number of companies supported is expected to continue to grow in line with the group’s fast-paced acquisition strategy. The team currently employs c. 50 people.The RSK Group is one of Europe’s fastest growing environmental, geotechnical and contaminated land consultancies, with offices in the UK, Europe and across the world. It provides a range of services for thousands of clients within the property, manufacturing, oil, gas and energy sector.Key Responsibilities:

  • Process supplier invoices and employee expenses onto the paperless automated accounts system for multiple currency databases
  • Checking expense claim receipts against the company expense policy and identifying VAT to reclaim in accordance with HMRC guidelines
  • Dealing with supplier queries and requests for payment
  • Verification of supplier bank details
  • Processing weekly supplier and expense payment runs
  • Reviewing CIS deductions and completing returns

Person Specification:

  • AAT or similar accounting qualification will be an advantage or qualified by experience
  • Good communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret financial data
  • Team player
