Come join us and make a real impact on digital screens around the world.About this role/The opportunityWe are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accounts Payable Manager. Reporting to the Financial Director, the ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial transactions of the organization, managing the accounts payable processes, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of the financial operations.The Accounts Payable Manager will lead a team of professionals, develop and implement processes, and maintain accurate financial records to support the organization’s financial health.How You’ll Make an Impact/duties and responsibilities**Accounts Payable:** * Propose, implement and maintain strategies and systems to automate and improve efficiency and productivity in the Accounts Payable team and processes.
- Manage and oversee the entire accounts payable process, including invoicing, payments, and reconciliations.
- Lead a team of 2 accounts payable specialists, including training and development.
- Develop and maintain accounts payable policies and procedures, ensuring SOX compliance
- Perform quality control and ensures timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices
- Prepare and analyze accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow projections
- Manage overall cash flow cycle, coordinating with accounts receivable to maintain adequate working capital needs and ensure timely payment cycles
- Manage the month-end close processes for accounts payable, including but not limited to ensuring completeness of expenses and cost of sales, bank reconciliations and reconciling intercompany accounts
**Financial Reporting:** * Generate regular financial reports related to accounts payable for management review.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
- Provide insights and analysis on financial data to support decision-making processes.
**Compliance:** * Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations that may impact accounts payable functions.
What do you need to perform in this job / What you’ll bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounts payable roles, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of Netsuite (asset)
