Line of Service Internal Firm ServicesIndustry/Sector Not ApplicableSpecialism IFS – FinanceManagement Level Senior AssociateJob Description & Summary A career in Finance, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.Meaningful work you’ll be part ofAs an Accounts Payable Supervisor, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution with complex financial data under the guidance of the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supervise and coach Accounts Payable staff that process vendor invoices using a fully automated, paperless accounting systemAllocate workload, train, set goals, prepare and deliver performance reviews of current staffInterview, select and train new staffDevelop, implement, monitor and document processes and procedures for continuous improvement to optimize productivityOversee payments via cheques, Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT), wire transfers, and bank drafts including printing physical chequesPrepare monthly roll forward reconciliation as well as various management and statistical reports on top vendors, payments and account analysesDevelop, implement and monitor procedures on PST self-assessment and Regulation 105 – Withholding Tax for Non-ResidentsParticipate in weekly governance calls with the Offshore Accounts Payable/Inter-Territory Billing (ITB) Group, coach and guide them as well as streamline proceduresOversee the audit of the work of the Offshore AP/ITB GroupProvide recommendations and participate in AP system implementations as well as create tickets whenever necessary in payable software’s vendor customer support systemAssist Finance to obtain necessary documents and backups for various auditsHandle any communications regarding the AP team and manage all incoming tickets via the centralized communications system as it pertains to the AP teamHandle any Accounts Payable related issues that are escalated to the Finance Manager, Functional Leader or the Executive TeamAny other additional responsibilities as assigned by your Finance ManagerExperiences and skills you’ll use to solveRelevant accounting experience, preferably in Accounts Payable and or/ supervisory experienceSolid knowledge of accounting processes and proceduresExperience with Basware A/P, or an equivalent electronic accounts payable systemProficiency in Microsoft Excel and knowledge of Google Suite apps, an assetExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong analytical skillsStrong multi-tasking, time-management, and organizational skillsWhy you’ll love PwCWe’re inspiring and empowering our people to change the world.
