The Accounting Staff plays a key role in supporting the accounts payable function, handling expenses, and ensuring timely payments of the company’s bills. This includes preparing journal entries, maintaining and reconciling ledger accounts, and acting as a liaison between the company, government entities, vendors, and CPA auditors to provide necessary information and ensure data accuracy.Position: Accounts Payable Technician

The core responsibilities include, but are not limited to:-Performing basic accounting procedures, month-end closing, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance and reconciliation.
-Communicating with vendors to reconcile monthly statements, address past due invoices, process invoicing or payment queries, and provide periodic status updates to management.
-Handling external and internal queries via phone and email.
-Managing and reviewing the setup of new suppliers, including payment terms and banking information.
-Verifying, coding, and booking company expenditures, including invoices, orders, payrolls, statements, and bills.
-Reviewing Accounts Payable aging reports and payment requests to ensure timely approval of invoices and payments.
-Processing payments.
-Preparing monthly reports and periodic account analyses.
-Using software to maintain company records and backup data for tax purposes.
I-nspecting records and reports for accuracy.
-Ensuring all accounts payable activities comply with relevant financial/group policies and procedures.
-Serving as a liaison with suppliers and auditors.
-Performing bank reconciliation.
-Performing other duties as assigned.Qualifications
-Bilingual
-Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
-Three or more years of progressive accounting experience
-Exceptional organization and time management skills
-Ability to work independently and multitask efficiently
-High attention to detail; ability to follow directions, self-check, and follow up on work
-Ability to enter accurate financial/numerical data
-Strong analytical and critical problem-solving skills
-Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Word and Excel, Great Plains (+) or other accounting software
-Intermediate computer and typing skills
-Ability to apply discretion and maintain confidentiality with company informationSummary
