As an individual who is driven by excellence, you are eager to contribute to the success of one of Canada’s Best Managed companiesThis is opportunity is based out of Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre 4 days a week Mondays through Thursday and work from home on Fridays. Reporting to the Finance Manager, Dentist Compensation & Accounts Receivable you will be responsible for providing support on all areas within the finance department. As the Accounts Receivable Analyst you will assist with accurate and timely financial reporting and controls in the area of AR. As the Accounts Receivable Analyst you will be responsible for combining your strong knowledge of AR best practices to be an effective business partner to the Practice managers.In this role, you will
- Provide training and support, and build consistency for accounts receivable (Patient and Insurance portion) for practices
- Develop, maintain and update company policies and best practices related to AR
- Audits at a practice level re: AR, which include patient set up; processing; applying payments; adjustments to ledgers; refund adjustments
- Monthly audits of the Overall AR Breakdown/Practice
- Training and support for collection deposits and bank reconciliations
- New practice acquisition training related to all AR aspects
- Manage the relationship with the dentalcorp financing and collection agencies which includes account maintenance, reporting, and support to practices and senior leadership
- Consolidate and Publish weekly & monthly AR reports
- Analyse accounts, monitor metrics and provide commentary; escalate any issues
- Ad‐hoc duties as assigned
- Provide support for Finance, Practice Leaders and Operational teams related to AR
- Integrate skills and knowledge to drive AR best practices across the dentalcorp finance organization
What we’re looking for
- College Diploma or University Degree in Accounting, Finance or related program
- Ideally 1 to 3+ years experience in Accounts Receivables
- Strong Variance Analysis experience
- Strong Customer Service Skills and Service Orientation
- Dental industry experience with expert knowledge of patient and insurance billing are a strong asset
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Knowledge of Practice Management Software systems such as Dentrix, Abeldent, Tracker or Cleardent would be an asset
- A self-starter, highly positive can-do attitude in a rapidly changing environment
- Excellent communication skills and a “people person”
- Bilingual in French would be an asset
