DescriptionKenton Black are delighted to be working with a reputable firm of chartered accountants and business advisors in the Stoke-On-Trent region, currently looking to recruit an Accounts Semi Senior.You will be joining an established and reputable practice with over 80 years’ experience. As an accounting firm, they use intelligent accounting solutions and expert advice to guide business and private clients.They provide continual staff training and in-house skills to ensure you are able to deliver the most up-to-date services compliant with HMRC, digital technology and data protection.They work with a large portfolio of client from start-ups, to growing businesses and even through to helping clients exit a business.You will work with multiple clients to complete full Accounts Preparation, Corporate Tax Returns and Management Accounts.You will have opportunities to work with a varied client portfolio including SME’s, Sole Trader’s and Limited Companies as well as larger clients where you have the option to develop skills within audit if you would like.Their people first culture means you will benefit from high quality personal development and on the job training to develop your soft skills alongside your accounting, audit and tax skills to enable you to become a trusted business adviser.They also support day release to college and are an approved training practice for ACA and ACCA. A full study support package is available.As Accounts Semi Senior your key duties will include:-Accounts Preparation for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
-Preparing meeting documents for accounts meetings
-Preparing management accounts
-Preparing corporation tax returns for manager review
-Providing assistance to the in-charge auditor on auditsTo be considered for the role of Accounts Semi Senior, you will possess the following skills and attributes including:-AAT finalist/ newly qualified or early stages of ACCA or ACA
-Practice experience essential
-No audit experience required – full training can be provided
