Detailed Description:
The Department of Languages, Cultures, and Literatures in the College of Arts and Sciences at University of San Diego (USD) is hiring an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Spanish to begin Fall 2024. This is a non-tenurable, benefit-based full-time position with the possibility of renewal contingent on satisfactory performance.
The course load is 4-4 with service expectations that may include coordinating a lower-division level, organizing or coordinating extracurricular activities, advising student organizations, or others as needed.

Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
Job Requirements:
Priority will be given to candidates with PhD in hand, although ABD will be considered. Specialization is open, but a background in linguistics, second language acquisition or heritage language learning is considered desirable. Demonstrated experience in teaching Spanish language at both lower-division and upper-division levels is required.
Posting Salary:
$5,546.67-$5,600/month; Excellent Benefits
