How you’ll make a difference: You’ll help ensure staff at WorkSafeBC have the guidance, tools, and support they need to make quality decisions about compensation.

Where you’ll work

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines the convenience of working remotely with the dynamism of working in one of our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

In this role, you’ll work primarily from your B.C. home and at a minimum of once per month in our Richmond office or based on operational needs.

What you’ll do

  • Partner with the Director to manage programs, projects, initiatives and training activities within the department
  • Support the Director by performing administrative responsibilities, including maintaining calendars; managing appointments, meetings, conferences and team events; and booking meeting rooms
  • Provide administrative support to the Practice and Quality Support Services Management team by keeping track of deadlines and following-up on items
  • Administer the department’s SharePoint, Project sites, and LAN structures
  • Compose written responses, memos, minutes, presentations, and communications from both verbal and printed sources
  • Record, organize and prepare complex and confidential reports upon request
  • Create presentations, speaking notes, agendas
  • Order supplies and handle departmental budget summaries
  • Receive, screen and refer incoming calls from internal and external sources
  • Assists with the completion and implementation of special projects

  • Use discretion, handle confidential and sensitive information, and resolve conflicts
  • Identify opportunities to improve systems and processes; recommend solutions and refer issues as appropriate
  • Problem-solve proficiently, demonstrating initiative and resourcefulness

Your background and experience

  • Completion of grade 12 and some post-secondary education is an asset
  • A minimum of 3 years of administrative experience supporting senior management and/or Director level operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint

Salary: $62,019 – $75,353/annually
