  • You will analyze development of tools, equipment, information, and procedures with specialized application to ground, underwater and air delivered ordnance, U.S. and foreign to create Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) technical information.
  • You will create support procedures development and provide vital technical reach back capability in order to ensure the success of Joint Service EOD, Partner Nations and Law Enforcement personnel around the globe.
  • You will compile, analyze, and develop information and ensure special requirements are identified and defined to aid in identifying ordnance, and determine procedures and methods for safe disposition, and mitigating explosive hazards.
  • You will perform as a project officer for assigned projects and advise on munitions technology, EOD applications, and EOD procedures.
  • You will devise detailed step-by-step procedures for use for EOD technicians to render safe and dispose of specific munitions items or weapons systems items or weapons systems.
  • You will develop specific tests and write test plan; prepare draft manual; and coordinate and resolve publication changes resulting from validation, military review boards.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

QualificationsYour resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-03 (GS-09/10 equivalent grade level) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing and evaluating explosive ordnance (e.g. IEDs, WMD, or other hazardous materials) data related to tools, equipment, information, or procedures to assist personnel with safe handling and disposal of explosive ordnance.Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management website:Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social).   • Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
  • Successful completion of three full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education.
  • Successful completion of LL.M, if related.
  • Havea combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
