About the workplaceThis role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the office of VCF at 312 Main Street in Vancouver or your home-based based office. Periodically, you’ll be required to attend in-person activities or events.As an Administrator, BC Rent Bank, you will support the small, collaborative and driven team at BC Rent Bank to meet its program goals and objectives. The administrator is a key clerical role that will interface with BC Rent Bank, VCF staff, the public, and our rent bank partners. The main functions of the administrator will be responding to inquiries from the public about the program (phone calls, emails); scheduling; electronic filing; processing invoices and payments; and preparing, fulfilling, and tracking of funding agreements.In addition, you will work closely with our partners to collect project-specific data and will be responsible for collating, reviewing, and verifying it for accuracy and entering data into a variety of databases to meet the reporting requirements of external funders and stakeholders.This is a Full-time, Permanent role and reports directly to the Managing Director, Rent Bank.A typical day would involve:
- Administer work process and systems to facilitate the effective and efficient delivery of services according to established standards
- Provide ongoing administration and coordination support in order to free up the capacity of team members including working in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, and a variety of databases.
- Identify and communicate obstacles to team members in order to optimize work processes and practices
- Liaise with other staff to provide integrated support within the team, department, division or community
You Have:
- A high school diploma at minimum with clerical training prioritized
- Previous clerical experience is appreciated
- Previous data entry experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of administrative/clerical practices and techniques
- Strong planning and communication skills to assist in the program/project planning activities, including coordinating schedules and timelines and coordinating events
- Experience working with MS Office, with strong skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
