We are also a leading supplier of uranium refining, conversion, and fuel manufacturing services from our operations in Ontario.The RoleCameco has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic talented individual to join the corporate finance team.In this role you will be responsible for the timely processing of period-end closing schedule steps and master data maintenance in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA. In addition, you will be responsible for bank administration and will participate in project work and system change testing as required. You will interact with employees throughout the organization on a daily basis, including finance, business technology services, taxation and treasury.In this role, you will:

  • Lead the SAP period-end closing procedures which are comprised of all activities involved in closing the posting periods in SAP. These activities include (but are not limited to) settling of cost objects, fixed asset depreciation, recurring entries and foreign currency revaluation.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy and completeness of the period-end schedule steps
  • Maintain master data in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA, ensuring adherence to internal controls related to master data requests
  • Maintain user access to bank applications ensuring alignment with internal controls including preparation of bank user access reviews on a periodic basis
  • Support on-going continuous improvement initiatives and projects as required

Required:

  • Accounting certificate or diploma
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of relevant work experience
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP
  • Strong propensity for technology and ability to learn systems quickly
  • Ability to work independently to fulfil requirements within deadlines

Recommended:

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA
  • Strong understanding of accounting concepts
