This position involves helping coordinating the intake process under the supervision of our Chief of Operations. This role also helps support local owners with intake diversion and directs to community resources. Strong organizational skills, compassion, and a commitment to animal welfare are essential for this role.Rescue Mission: At Path of Hope Rescue we strive to decrease the euthanasia rate of high risk dogs in the southern United States by transporting pregnant dogs and puppies to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive homes. We are 100% foster based and rely on volunteers and fosters to help in our mission.Vision: Eliminating euthanasia of dogs in the South by decreasing the amount of dogs breeding unchecked. Responsibilities include coordinating the intake process, arranging transportation, ensuring they receive necessary care upon arrival, and coordinating with the Foster Pack to ensure each dog has a Foster home to go to. The Admissions Manager works closely with shelter partners to identify dogs in urgent need of rescue, managing logistics to facilitate their safe and timely transfer into the Rescue. Additionally, they maintain detailed records of each dog’s history, medical treatments, and progress, ensuring that all information is accurate and up-to-date.Expectations for this role include strong organizational and communication skills, a deep compassion for animals, and a commitment to the Rescues mission of saving lives and fostering successful adoptions. The Admissions Pack Leader must be proactive, resourceful, and capable of handling the emotional and logistical challenges that come with managing the intake and owner support process in a high-stakes environment.In addition to the core responsibilities, the Admissions Pack Leader also oversees a diverse team that includes the intake team, owner support team, and community relations specialists operating in both the Pacific Northwest (PNW) and Texas. This role involves coordinating the efforts of the intake team to ensure smooth and efficient processes for rescuing dogs from shelter partners in Texas and transporting them to the PNW. Effective team management requires strong leadership skills, the ability to delegate tasks, and the capacity to motivate and support team members in a high-stress, emotionally charged environment. The Admissions Pack Leader must ensure seamless communication and collaboration across different regions, aligning team efforts with the Rescues mission to save lives and promote successful adoptions.
