Our employees are motivated, and we realise their potential, challenging them to learn and to embrace change.Our passion for process and an intense client focus ensures that we deliver an award-winning service.A permanent full-time role has arisen for an Assessment Officer working with the Financial Assessment Team responsible for the delivery of an effective financial assessment service for residential and non-residential adult social care service users.Key tasks and responsibilities:
- Deal with correspondence and telephone calls from external customers, their relatives and internal customers in a timely manner.
- Updating the Financial and Client Management information systems accurately and in a timely manner.
- Work with colleagues in a professional manner to meet company standards, achieve quality levels and comply with contractual targets and deadlines.
- Responsible for promoting excellent customer care.
- General administration as required including providing cover for other roles within the Single Financial Assessment Unit.
- Any other duties as required, commensurate with grade and responsibility at any location within which the business requires.
Essential Skills and Attributes:
- Experience of using the ContrOCC & Liquid Logic (Finance Module) database preferred
- Experience of working within an Adult Social Care environment.
- Experience of dealing with assessments, preferably within Adult Social Care.
- Understanding of the basic requirements of the 2014 Care Act.
- Strong numeracy skills, GCSE Maths at grade C or above.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, GCSE English at grade C or above.
- Good IT skills encompassing the ability to use Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy whilst being able to organise and prioritise workload even when under pressure.
- Excellent financial awareness with a strong customer focus.
- Ability to communicate clearly and logically to our customers. Patience and understanding especially when communicating with any vulnerable customers.
