Do you like it when each day is different than the last and presents a new challenge?Apply today to this excellent opportunity on our diverse team! #joinourteamSee below to understand the full scope, and we look forward to your application!What You Will Do:Reconcile third party pipeline statements to Openlink (Endur)system monthly.Generate counterparty invoices for counterparties as the need arises for the current business and as new contracts are established.Investigate, document, and resolve deal discrepancies by liaising with Tidal Commercial Trading, risk team as well as external sources.Complete settlement process for both Tidal entities as well as specific Enbridge entities, meeting both industry and Enbridge deadlinesPerform actuals to estimates variance analysis.Review bank statements to prepare required cash receipts, debit memos, and credit memos.Maintain A/R sub-ledger and balance to the general ledger.Work with Technology partners to problem solve and develop efficient / effective technology-based solutions to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.Prepare month end journal entries, including recurring and reversing entries, bank and FX entries and inter-company entries.Involved in cross training to work together and support both U.S. and Canadian processes.Involvement in various projects with regards to system implementations, upgrades, and conversions.Assist with development, documentation, and effective operation of financial controls.Identify process inefficiencies, recommend alternatives, and implement.Support colleagues under tight deadlines and take on tasks for which you may not be directly accountable.Understand the end-to-end settlement process and systems.Demonstrate a high degree of competency in various reporting and analytical tools including, Power BI (with ability to build intermediate level Power BI reports), MS Excel (with ability to organize and analyze large volumes of data using functionalities, such as, Pivot Tables, Index, Match, VLOOKUP, Logical functions, etc.), Hyperion Planning and Essbase systems (with working knowledge to generate different queries for analyses and insights); and recommend enhancements to the systems.Required:University degree in business/accounting or equivalent combination of education and experience in a commodity marketing accounting environment, natural gas preferred.5+ years of directly related experience.Professional accounting designation is an asset.Experience in marketing trade environment and/or CAPPA certificate is an asset.Working Conditions:General office working environment with overtime required.Minimal travel requirement.Company paid international relocation is not offered for this role.Enbridge provides driven workplace programs that differentiate us and offer flexibility to our team members.
