Introduction

The overall goal of the assignment is to scale up adaptation-focused investments in the cassava value chain. This assignment will seek to identify the most appropriate agri-tech firm that will foster use of cassava chippers, solar driers and metallic food silos to reduce losses in the production of dry cassava chips as an adaptation action in the cassava value chain so that it provides additional income sources while reducing sensitivity to climate stressors

Scope of work 
Establish and pilot cassava processing equipment to improve income and climate resilience of the cassava value chain stakeholder
Assess the profitability profile with firsthand data and identify gaps for future upscaling
Document and share findings for dissemination to private sector (investors and financiers)
Projects that can be implemented in three districts in the cattle corridor in the SCALA programme. These include Katakwi, Kamuli, and Kaberamaido Districts.
