As ATB’s next Agriculture Underwriter, you will evaluate and assess client risk and ability to repay debt obligations on behalf of the bank as part of the lending process.
Responsibilities
- Makes sound credit decisions for clients
- Partner in first line of defense for risk management
- Assesses risk and profitability, maintains accounts, underwrites credit and ensures optimum client servicing
- Ensures overall loan quality and supporting documentation is within the acceptable ATB measures and identifies all cross-selling opportunities while maintaining adherence to established service level agreements
- Analyzes financial statements, assesses risk and determines which ATB products and services best meet the needs of the client
- Focuses on producing high volume and quality of loans
Requirements:
- Business or accounting degree or diploma or related business experience
- 1+ years experience in primary production OR agriculture lending/loan underwriting
- Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills
