AI Security Research Engineer (FTC)Description –We have an exciting opportunity to join our Security Lab. The role will be focused on AI security in edge architectures. More specifically combining knowledge of ML and system security to robustly protect models and data on client devices.You will be contributing to HP’s security research, providing analysis of use cases and threats as well as security designs and prototypes, helping inform the design of future products and services. You will be working closely with other AI security researchers, and with security technologists across HP.The ideal candidate would have a solid background in machine learning, knowledge of computer security, with a good technical understanding of system software . This position requires a strong engineer who can influence and communicate effectively.Job ResponsibilitiesDeveloping new security designs, architectures and use casesBuilding prototypes to de-risk and show feasibility of ideasDocumenting use cases and architecture in writingValidating use case value proposition with end-users and business partnersWorking in a fast-paced environment that iterates and evolves rapidlyJob RequirementsExperience in or knowledge of machine learning solution architecturesExperience in or knowledge of machine learning security risksStrong ML and software engineering skillsKnowledge or interest in computer securityAn ability to convey technical knowledge to both technical experts and non-technical teams alikeThe following skills and attributes are a plusKnowledge of hardware, firmware and system software architecturesKnowledge of operating system and hypervisor technologiesDegree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalentAbout HPYou’re out to reimagine and reinvent what’s possible—in your career as well as the world around you.
