Base Location: Midlands Offices Birmingham and Nottingham

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in providing research, analysis, and insights to support various projects and initiatives within the organization. They will work closely with the product team to help make informed decisions, with a focus on utilizing JIRA as a key project management tool.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for translating audit requirements into practical and effective solutions through the development of tools. In this role, the Business Analyst will support the Product Owner in shaping initiatives into meaningful outcomes that drive business value. They will facilitate, document, and interpret business processes, business, and functional requirements, and translate these into application and operational requirements. The Business Analyst will monitor situations and identify trends, potential strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, or threats, and provide the link between end-users, the development team, and key stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
- Support the Product Owner in representing the business needs and how this is translated to tools development
- Manage the roll-out plan including training, deployment, feedback, pilot team selection and communication. Then following this up to ensure user feedback is prioritised for future features or bug fixes.
- The Business Analyst will also support the Product Owner in preparing accreditation documentation and must be able to articulate and defend the rationale behind product decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyse data and information related to audit projects and initiatives.
- Utilize JIRA as a primary project management tool to track project progress, manage tasks, and ensure timely completion of deliverables
What will you need to do it?
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role, preferably within a professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience with JIRA, including configuration, customization, and workflow management
- Out of the box thinker, driven to find ways of doing things better and has the mindset to come up with proposed solutions
- Internally motivated and able to drive and shape new processes where none may currently exist in the firm

- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Experience within the audit field preferred.
