We seek an AmeriCorps Technology Empowerment Coach for our Manchester site who is passionate about bridging access to digital literacy for newly arrived refugees and immigrants. AmeriCorps members placed at IINE-Manchester will carry out comprehensive, strategic, client- and community-based activities to respond to refugees’ and immigrants’ digital literacy needs, equipping them to fully participate in New Hampshire’s economy and contribute to the state’s growth and prosperity.As Technology Empowerment Coach, you will work coordinate, plan, and carry out various trainings and orientations with a cohort of AmeriCorps members and community partners for IINE clients and other local refugee and immigrant groups. You will be successful in this role if you have a background working with different cultures and have experience teaching in any capacity. Reporting and evaluation for this position includes weekly and quarterly check-ins and general reports, utilization of Apricot data collection software, and annual out-reporting of successes and improvement areas. Fulfillment of the position will be dependent on clearing a National Service Criminal History Check.Position: AmeriCorps Technology Empowerment Coach (FT)

- Pay Range: $9,318 for 900-hour service or $6,998.50 for 675-hour service

ResponsibilitiesGeneral
- Support the efforts of IINE to create opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed through resettlement, education, career advancement and pathways to citizenship
- Facilitate the social and economic integration of immigrants and refugees in the Manchester, Concord, and Nashua areas
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and office hours on computer basics and navigating community resources online
- Create, adapt, and tailor curricula on scaffolded computer basic skills to teach to clients in small group settings
- Create and carry out curricula on safe browsing practices and applicable life skills, such as ATM use, Square technology, and smartphone accessibility
- Establish service plans for refugee and immigrant participants with measurable and obtainable one-year goals that align with the Digital Intelligence Institute’s Digital Literacy Skills and Digital Readiness Standards
- Utilize Northstar Digital services to plan and carry out lesson plans for clients and community learners
- Provide guidance, leadership, and mentorship to part-time counterparts

Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual workplace an advantage.
Work Environment Conditions
- Requires travel to office
- Requires travel to community partnership meetings in Manchester, Nashua, and Concord
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting (or standing) at a desk for long periods of time.
