We seek an AmeriCorps Transportation Coordinator for our Refugee and Immigrant Social Empowerment Program (RISE) who is passionate about bridging access to transportation channels for newly arrived refugees and immigrants. AmeriCorps members placed at IINE-Manchester will carry out comprehensive, strategic, client- and community-based activities to respond to refugees’ and immigrants’ transportation needs, equipping them to fully participate in New Hampshire’s economy, contribute to the state’s growth and prosperity, and lead socially and culturally fulfilled lives.As Transportation Coordinator, you will coordinate, plan, and carry out various trainings and
orientations with a cohort of AmeriCorps members and community partners for IINE clients and other
local refugee and immigrant groups. These orientations will be focused on transportation access in and
around the Manchester and Nashua area, including how to navigate bus routes, how to utilize rideshare
apps, and driver’s license preparation. You will be successful in this role if you have a background
working with different cultures and have experience teaching in any capacity. Reporting and evaluation for this position includes weekly and quarterly check-ins and general reports, utilization of Apricot data collection software, and annual out-reporting of successes and improvement areas. Fulfillment of the position will be dependent on clearing a National Service Criminal History Check.Position: AmeriCorps Transportation Coordinator (FT)

- Pay Range: $9,318 for 900-hour service or $6,998.50 for 675-hour service

ResponsibilitiesGeneral
- Support the efforts of IINE to create opportunities for refugees and immigrants to succeed through resettlement, education, career advancement and pathways to citizenship
- Facilitate the social and economic integration of immigrants and refugees in the Manchester, Concord, and Nashua areas
- Create workshop materials to orient refugees and immigrants to transportation options
- Conduct field trips with small groups using the local bus system, to establish familiarity with public transportation, learn how to read schedules and maps, and visit a local grocery store
- Provide driver’s license exam preparation to small cohorts of refugees and immigrants to successfully obtain New Hampshire driver’s licenses
- Assist case managers and employment specialists to help clients obtain a state ID
- Make client referrals to IINE-Manchester’s internal Individual Development Account (IDA) program to receive financial literacy training and vehicle purchasing training
Evaluation & Reporting
- Weekly and quarterly check-ins and general reports

Required Skills/Abilities
- Passion for the mission of IINE and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
- Attuned to working across languages and cultures, able to demonstrate cultural competency.
- Ability to connect with community partners.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Classroom management skills preferred but not required.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Experience in a multi-cultural/multi-lingual workplace an advantage.
Work Environment Conditions
- Requires travel to office
- Requires travel to community partnership meetings in Manchester, Nashua, and Concord
Physical Demands
- Requires sitting (or standing) at a desk for long periods of time.
