Climate and disaster resilienceIn all our activities, we encourage the protection of human rights and the empowerment of women, minorities and the poorest and most vulnerable.Context:We are looking for an online volunteer who will support the analysis of gender integration in Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and Integrated National Adaptation Plans (INSAPs). This role involves assessing how gender considerations are incorporated into climate policies, identifying gaps, and providing recommendations to strengthen gender-responsive climate action.Task type:Climate action and environmental protectionTask description:The online volunteer will analyze gender integration into NDCs, and INSAPs, and climate financing modulesKey Responsibilities for the analysis;Conduct a gender analysis of NDCs and INSAPs to assess the extent of gender integration in climate commitments and adaptation plans.
Identify gaps, best practices, and opportunities to enhance gender-responsive climate policies.
Develop a brief on the overall analysis including methodology, findings, gaps, and recommendations on strengthening gender considerations in climate governance.
Include analysis as well of gender integration on climate financing.NDCs or plans to be reviewed are around 20, and each is around 30-40 pages.Requirements:Background in gender studies, climate policy, environmental sciences, international development, or a related field.
Experience in policy analysis, gender mainstreaming, or climate governance is preferred.
Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex information into actionable recommendations.
Excellent writing and communication skills to prepare reports, presentations, and advocacy materials.
Experience working with climate adaptation frameworks and gender equality policies is an asset.Work Hours: 16-20
