As an Analyst in our Credit and Transaction Management – Trading team you will manage a portfolio of credit relationships within the Global Credit division of RBC Capital Markets. You will work closely with other groups within Capital Markets and the Bank to deliver a full range of credit and banking services to multinational and other large corporate relationships.**** Please note: This role can be at an Analyst or an Associate level, depending on the incumbent’s background and skillset.****What will you do?Ensure timely preparation of (i) transaction requests (which may include but not limited to new credits, restructurings, renewals, waivers, documentation review, establishing lines for trading and cash management, regularizing ETRs, indicative risk ratings); (ii) annual reviews of assigned portfolio and ensuring the data integrity of CCMS.Participate in team deliverables with respect to regulatory/audit requestsEnsure transactional requests are reviewed and approved within policyCompletion of ad-hoc projects and other duties (including presenting to key stakeholders) efficiently and effectively in order to support the team meeting planned and unplanned demandsDevelop expertise in various industries and trading products, policies and guidelines, and provide value added advice to internal partnersEnsure compliance with Bank PolicyEnsure that bank systems correctly reflect key terms and conditions of agreements and other documentation for the assigned portfolioInteract extensively with other functions of RBC Capital Markets, the Bank and occasionally interact with clients, legal counsel and other external contactsWhat do you need to succeed?Must-have:Academic background with a minimum of Bachelor’s level accreditation with an emphasis in finance, economics or quantitative disciplineAbility to read and understand complex legal documentsPrior experience and understanding of trading products would be an assetStrong credit and analytical skills including the ability to critically assess financial statements and other client reports to draw reasoned conclusions and recommend a course of actionPrevious banking experience with relationship management, structuring and writing of credit proposals, credit processes, policies, risk analysis would be an assetAbility to work effectively within a team environment and to interact at all levels within a large organizationAbility to prioritize, perform well under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlinesStrong general PC Skills (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).Nice-to-have:MBA, professional designation (e.g., CA, CMA, CFA) or a post-graduate degree with a focus in finance, economics or quantitative discipline would be an assetWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
