You will support compensation analytics in support of recommendations for Employee offers, new or modified compensation programs, market intelligence submissions and market competitive analyses, as well as project work throughout the year. You will partner with stakeholders in team rewards, HR, equity compensation, executive compensation, and compensation governance to support ongoing processes and initiatives.At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.How you’ll succeedReporting and Analysis – Prepare data and preliminary analysis and reports for the Capital Markets Total Rewards team, Human Resources, and other stakeholders. Support quantitative and qualitative analyses on existing and proposed compensation programs, practices and procedures to ensure they are market competitive, internally equitable, cost effective and aligned to CIBC strategy and business objectives. This includes examining compensation trends, creating “what-if” scenarios and costing models to determine the financial impact of salary and incentive plan changes, as well as preparing reports and participating in presentations that incorporate recommendations to Business leaders. Development of reports will involve analyses of a high volume of data using Excel (i.e., using advanced formulas, statistical functions, pivot tables, lookups, etc.) and complex data reconciliation that requires close attention to detail and accuracy. Compile information for audit testing and compliance.Subject Matter Expert – Support internal and external market research by analyzing the results of compensation surveys, both ad-hoc (developing and conducting) and contribute to the submission of annual global surveys. Contribute to presentations on topics including, but not limited to, market intelligence, compensation proposals, and stakeholder presentations.Relationship Management – Work with partners / stakeholders to provide compensation data, and policy and guideline interpretation, including support during the Year-End compensation cycle and related processes. Support internal relationships throughout various departments (e.g., within Total Rewards, broader HR, and Finance) and external relationships (e.g., survey vendors and policy/program vendors) in order to respond to enquiries and fulfill responsibilities of the role. Respond to ad hoc requests for data, research and analysis regarding compensation policies, programs and services.Who you areYou have a university/college degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferred (or an equivalent combination of training and experience).You know that details matter. You have a proactive nature, and problem solving skills sufficient to interpret and/or analyze factual and conceptual information when formulating responses to problems/issues.You act like an owner.
