PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:
Health Services Analysts are accountable for the coordination, implementation, compliance and maintenance of various processes and systems related to Fitness to Work, Return to Work after injury or illness, Employment Medicals, Periodic Medicals and, Alcohol and Drug Testing. This is in accordance with the Railway Safety Act, Fitness to Work Medical, Disability Management and Alcohol and Drug Policies and Procedures. They provide daily support to the Health Services department including the Occupational Health Nurses, Disability Management Specialists, Vendors, Employees and Leaders to ensure program compliance and medical information is requested, tracked, followed up on and maintained within the Health Services systems.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Coordinate and maintain the efficient delivery of Health Services programs for CPKC employees across the network in US and Canada
- Maintaining controls and safeguards for compliance and liaise with internal and external stakeholders ensuring all medical requests are tracked, followed up on and maintained within the Health Services systems
- Liaise with 3rd party vendors, operations, leaders and employees to ensuring that employees are compliant with the fitness to work and return to work requirements
- Provide timely and responsive customer service to administrative enquiries relating to the programs from employees managers, supervisors, health care and third party service providers
- Ensure all program information remains up to data and accurate with the system of record including employee occupational health records, forms, third party providers, protocols and procedures
- Process and reconcile program invoices within prescribed timelines and with accuracy within CPKC accounting processes
- Reviews current processes and makes recommendations for process improvements, increasing compliance and creating efficiencies
- Provides administrative support on various programs run by Health Services
- Cross-trains and provides coverage as required for programs run by Health Services including Fitness to Work/Return to Work, Employment medical Program and Alcohol and Drug Testing
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- Post-secondary education or 3 to 5 years’ experience in occupational health, HR or safety programs
- Current or past experience with handling large volumes of medical information within defined service delivery timelines is desirable
- Highly proficient in SAP, Electronic Document Management, Crew and staffing systems, SharePoint, MS Office Suite with high proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently cross-functionally
- Demonstrated capability to apply discretion and confidentiality parameters to day to day work
- Must have the ability to review, comprehend and coordinate all types of medical assessment documents and correspondence
- High level of attention to detail and strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Strong time management skills, be self-motivated and results-oriented
- Strong interpersonal skills, including good written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels

Management Conductor Program:
