Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?In this role as an Analyst, maintain, update and execute Metadata processes for the Shared Data Management Office (SDMO) across all Data Domains in scope. Ensure consistency in approach and adherence to internal processes as well as with Enterprise Data Standards. Assist in identifying efficiencies to capturing Metadata and assist in advocating for the adoption of Collibra across data domains in scope.What will you do?Data DomainsAssist in engaging with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to collect, update, and maintain Metadata in CollibraAssist in collaborating with Business Stakeholders to ensure Metadata is properly understood and maintainedDevelop knowledge and become a valuable team resource, supporting the execution of Metadata practices in generalFacilitate consistent adoption of Metadata standards across the enterprise, demonstrating the value added by adoption of CollibraAssist with project work as required (e.g. regulatory deliverables)Review and maintain the effectiveness of Business ProcessesMaintain a level of proficiency with respect to knowledge of Metadata standards and practices in CollibraAssist in the maintenance of documented processes and procedures to support Metadata Management in CollibraMonitor the efficiency and effectiveness of Metadata processes and suggest improvementsRelationship ManagementCollaborate with other Data Management Offices, Data Custodians and Data Stewards to align metadata standards and best practicesCollaborate with the Chief Data Office to advocate for enhancements to Metadata tools such as CollibraWhat do you need to succeed?Must have:1-2 years’ experience in an operational environmentPrior experience with Enterprise Metadata Management platformsBasic to intermediate knowledge of Metadata Management conceptsAbility to understand the importance of Metadata as it relates to applicable policy and proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with the ability to communicate effectivelyStrong attention to detailBasic understanding of banking policies, processes and proceduresAbility to work independently with general supervision/oversight to achieve short-term (daily/weekly/monthly) performance expectationsNice-to-have:Familiarity with Data Governance and Metadata Management tools such as Collibra.Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis tools such as Datameer, SQL, Python etc.What’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
