You have a software engineering background with a practicale quality-first mindset? We are currently seeking an hands-on Application Test Lead to join the Findur team in the Information Technology Services (ITS) Department. This role involves decomposing architectural design components from Solutions Architects and technical solutions from Application Development Leads.What you will do
This is a senior application quality assurance role and the successful candidate will be comfortable working in an agile environment with test driven and collaborative software development practices. The candidate will be experienced with developing software test strategies for large project initiatives. This role assumes the candidate is seasoned in quality assurance, functional testing, automated testing, DevOps pipeline and has a strong software development background. They are an agent of change to encourage others to adopt good quality-first practices.Your core interpersonal and communication skills will be invaluable as you collaborate with the business support group and end users to explore the future of the application.As an Application Test Lead in Findur, you will:

  • Bring deep expertise in quality assurance, manual functional testing, automated testing, DevOps pipelines, and software development to drive testing excellence.
  • Lead and track quality issues, recommend insights, and develop improvement plans while ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee all quality assurance activities, including end-to-end integration, manual, automated, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate closely with application developers and solution architects to align testing strategies with the product roadmap.
  • Work with product owners and application architects to ensure testing considerations are factored into product backlog prioritization.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Quality Assurance activities, including writing, reviewing, and executing comprehensive test cases to identify critical issues early.
  • Identify potential risks, develop effective mitigation strategies, and enhance internal processes to increase team efficiency.
  • Monitor and enhance the health of test automation systems and their integration into routine operations.
  • Lead cultural and technical change through coaching, mentoring, and influence.
  • Demonstrate leadership by example through direct involvement in complex testing efforts, actively participate in hands-on testing, ensuring high-quality standards are met.

What you need to succeed
This position requires hands-on experience with:

  • Java-based application development using Eclipse IDE, preferably with Oracle RBMS in the backend
  • test driven development using libraries and tools such as mocking frameworks, JUnit, Cucumber, etc.
  • developing or supporting API based test automation
  • test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) experience
  • development experience with Oracle databases; good understanding of SQL
  • supporting applications with high-criticality, availability, reliability and security requirements
  • a broad level of understanding surrounding information systems and application architecture standards
  • an ability to analyze and interpret complex problems or processes that span multiple business areas, identify and understand requirements, and develop repeatable test solutions
  • strong communication skills with the ability to influence other testers and automation developers across multiple scrum teams.
  • translating solution architecture blueprint to create tangible test design and test artifacts.

Your education and experience
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, software development or a relevant field. Ten (10) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Language requirement

  • Salaries are based on qualifications and experience and typically range from $124,279 to $146,211 (job grade 18)
  • The Bank offers an incentive for successfully meeting expectations at 7 to 10% of your base salary. The Bank offers additional performance pay (5%) for those who exceed expectations. Exceptional performers who far exceed expectations may be eligible for higher performance pay.
