Connect Appointments have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Mechanic/Mechanic to join and help grow our Musselburgh based client.What’s on offer?

• Monday to Friday, 06:30 to 16:30 (overtime available)
• Pay from £12 per hour – paid weekly

Your duties as an Apprentice Mechanic/Mechanic will include:

• Liaising and reporting to the workshop/site manager
• General maintenance across the site
• Complete daily job sheet
• Carrying out regular servicing of on-site machinery
• Changing bearings, motors, and gearboxes on the plant
• Carrying out repairs and other maintenance on vehicles, machines, and affected components
• Using a variety of specialist equipment and tools
• Liaising with site management with regard to required repairs and part ordering

To be successful in this role you will ideally have the following skills, traits and experience:

• The ability to work on your own and as part of a team
• Be punctual, reliable and flexible, and; willing to learn new skills
• Great attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Proven desirable experience within a mechanic/vehicle technician role
