Our established one-year programme offers successful applicants the chance to be part of an innovative public sector organisation, experience responsibility and a variety of work activities while gaining an industry recognised qualification.Apprentices on this 24 month programme will be assigned to the Data Analytics team and undertake a qualification in Digital Technology for Data Analytics delivered in partnership with QA Apprenticeships.We welcome applications from 16-24 year-olds, or up to 29 if you are disabled or care-experienced.About the roleYou will join the Data & Analytics team, an experienced group of innovators with a wide range of technical expertise. The team hold and manage statistical data and turn this complex data into digestible forms to support evidence-based decision making. You will gain hands-on, practical experience in a dynamic public-sector organisation over your 24-month placement to expand and develop your technical and transferable skills.ResponsibilitiesPerform routine data extraction and analysis activities to respond to ad hoc queries from across the organisation

  • Analyse and interpret data to provide evidence to support decision making
  • Support the delivery of Official Statistics Publications, running and checking code and outputs to ensure rigorous standards are maintained
  • Assist with data and analytics tasks, in particular delivering data led evidence as part of deep dive projects and insight generation
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and continuous improvement within the team, considering emerging tools, techniques and capabilities
