Qualifications & Preferred Skills
Education
- University degree in Social Sciences, Education, International Development, Human Rights or other relevant fields required
Experience
Essential:
- Minimum of 3 years professional experience in the field of humanitarian mine action
- Previous experience with international or local NGOs
- Proven experience in conducting EORE activities such as risk education sessions, IEC material development and delivery of trainings for EORE teams
Preferred:
- Previous experience working with HI or other mine action operators
- Experience in the implementation of explosive risk education projects
- Experience and awareness of national and international standards for mine action
- Previous experience in writing technical guidelines
- Training and experience in including gender and diversity approach in mine action activities
Skills & Abilities
- Fluent in Arabic, excellent written and spoken English mandatory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to deliver training and coaching
- Reliable to handle confidential and sensitive information
- High capacity to organize his/her work, and manage priorities
- Can work independently and take initiative when needed
- Writing skills
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards
- Good command on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and use of other digital tools for training
- Creative, enthusiastic and positive attitude
- Reactive and flexible
