Art and Design Teacher – Surrey Secondary SchoolAn Outstanding secondary school in Surrey is seeking a talented and versatile Art and Design Teacher to join their vibrant and successful Art and Design department. This is a full-time, permanent position, teaching across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5.Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver inspiring and engaging Art and Design lessons across a range of disciplines.
- Teach a variety of techniques, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, photography, and digital media (specific areas may depend on the school’s specialisms).
- Foster creativity, critical thinking, and technical skills in students of all abilities.
- Create a supportive and inclusive studio environment where students feel empowered to experiment and express themselves.
- Assess student progress effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Contribute to the development of the Art and Design curriculum and extracurricular activities.
- Teaching within an Outstanding school.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- A degree in Fine Art, Design, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary level.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a breadth of artistic skills and personal practice.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- A passion to be an Art and Design Teacher
