Job Title: Art TeacherLocation: Dover, KentContract: Fulltime, Long TermArt Teacher (KS3 & 4) – Dover, KentWe are seeking a passionate and innovative Art & Design Teacher to join our team, focusing on Key Stage 3 (KS3) students. The successful candidate will inspire and engage students through dynamic teaching and creative projects, helping them to develop their artistic skills and appreciation for the subject, our school is committed to providing a nurturing and inspiring environment for our students.   • Curriculum Delivery: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Art & Design lessons that meet the national curriculum standards for KS3.
  • Student Engagement: Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and enthusiasm for the arts.
  • Assessment & Feedback: Regularly assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and track progress to ensure all students achieve their full potential.
  • Resource Management: Manage classroom resources effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Extracurricular Activities: Organize and lead extracurricular activities such as art clubs, exhibitions, and school-wide art events.
  • Professional Development: Stay updated with the latest developments in Art & Design education and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to develop cross-curricular projects and contribute to the wider school community.

Qualification & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • A degree in Art & Design or a related field.
  • Proven experience teaching Art & Design at KS3 level.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 Art & Design curriculum and assessment criteria.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. (Or willing to obtain one)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
