In this role, you will:

  • Acknowledge and furnish requisite reports to respective report users as per business needs. Reports can be regular or sometimes to be customized as per business needs and information availability. Report content must reflect accurate information as requested by the business and highlight disclaimers/limitations when applicable.
  • Champions a customer focused culture to deepen cross-functional relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Find opportunities to structure/prepare business intelligence reports in way that it facilitates better decision making.
  • Improve day to day operations by identifying areas within TFO to automate or improve any task or activity performed inefficiently which can be executed in a better way.
  • Participates in other special assignments related to office administration and IT hardware support.
  • Assist the Manager/Senior Manager/Director by conducting research and analysis, and accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes for well-defined tasks to assist in the resolution of problems to meet the needs of the supported Line of Business.
  • At times, there can be requirements for participation in rapid prototyping, with requirements and solutions developed on an iterative basis that provides interim deliverables until a final production solution is created.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Knowledge and experience in SAP Business objects Business Intelligence suite, Power BI, Task management and real-time analytical and formal modelling tools with decent understanding of Trade Finance products.
  • A recognized under-graduate degree in business, economics, mathematics, or a related discipline is required.
