Job description
The Assistant Accountant role calls for a motivated individual with a keen interest in accounting & finance within the industrial / manufacturing industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of financial duties, contributing to the efficient operation of the department.Day to Day as the Assistant Accountant you will be involved in:· Processing of Purchase Ledger invoices and credit notes· Reconciliation of supplier statements ( follow up missing invoices where necessary)· Resolve invoice queries· Maintenance of Aged Creditors· Maintaining Fixed Asset Registers + Posting Depreciation· Maintaining Prepayments Schedules + Posting Releases· Posting of sundry cashbook items· Bank account reconciliations· Daily and Weekly Sales and Orders Reporting· Processing of Company Barclaycard VAT· Processing of Employee Cash & Credit Card Expense Claims· Stock price verificationOutstanding Opportunity to learn from a leading Finance Team|Excellent Study Support and Practical Experience offeredA successful Assistant Accountant should have:
- A strong educational background in finance or a related field
- Experience with accounting software
- Excellent numeracy skills
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Good understanding of bookkeeping procedures
- Strong organisational skills
- Effective communication skills
