Position description
The Department of History, Political Science, Geography, and Africana Studies in the College of Liberal Arts at Tennessee State University, a public Historically Black College and University (HBCU), invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty appointment at the rank of Assistant/Associate Professor to begin fall 2024. Our program is located in Nashville, Tennessee.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Political Science in American Politics at time of appointment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in at least two of the following areas: Media and Politics, Electoral Behavior, Political Psychology, Public Opinion, and Methodology. Preference will be given to innovative teachers (who can teach methods), with evidence of an active research agenda, and a commitment to working with our student organizations.
