Derbyshire County Council is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director for Child Protection, Exploitation, and Quality Care. In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic leadership and policy development for our Child Protection, Independent Reviewing Officer (IRO), Exploitation, and Residential services. You will ensure robust child protection practices, high-quality residential care, and effective IRO services across Derbyshire.Key Responsibilities:You will lead and develop service delivery strategies to improve outcomes for children in care, ensuring compliance with statutory duties and regulatory requirements. Collaborating with multi-agency partners, you will safeguard children and oversee the delivery of high-quality residential care services. Your role will involve driving continual improvement in child protection practices and IRO services.About You:You will have extensive experience in children’s social care, with a strong track record of strategic leadership and service improvement. Your ability to work across professional boundaries and manage significant budgets and resources will be crucial. You will be a visionary leader, capable of inspiring and motivating teams to achieve excellence in service delivery.Qualifications:
- Professional Social Work qualification
- Current Social Work England registration.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
