Reporting to the Finance Manager, this job would suit a recent graduate looking to start their career and interested in studying towards an ACCA/ACA qualification. Some experience in a finance capacity or through an accounting degree will be advantageous.If this applies to you, please read on!Responsibilities:Key responsibilitiesMain purpose of the role is to support the Finance Manager and the Financial Accounts team with month end close, year end close and the annual audit.Responsibilities include but not limited to,

  • Monthly close journals
  • Balance sheet control account reconciliations including Fixed Assets
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Help maintain accurate financial records and databases
  • Stock accounting
  • Assist with management accounting and budgeting
  • Assist the team with year end audit schedules and liaise with external auditors
  • Assist with VAT and tax work as required
  • Supporting the wider team and the manager with ad hoc duties as required

Skills / Experience / Knowledge / Minimum Criteria:Your skills, experience and knowledge/ Minimum role criteria

  • A degree in Accounting & Finance is desirable.
  • Existing intermediate excel skills preferable
  • Ability to build relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Communicate information clearly and concisely
  • An interest in studying towards a professional accounting qualification.
