Job Title: Assistant Management AccountantLocation: Truro – NewquaySalary: £24,000 per annumHours: Full-time (Part-time around 30 hours would be considered)Job Description:Our clients, as accountancy firm based between Truro and Newquay, are seeking a dedicated Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. The successful candidate will assist with various financial and accounting duties to support the management accountants in providing accurate and timely financial information to clients.Responsibilities:• Assisting in the preparation of management accounts and financial statements including VAT & CIS returns as well as self-assessment tax returns.• Reviewing clients bookkeeping including sales and purchase ledgers, bank reconciliation and cash flows• Supporting in the analysis of financial data and preparation of reports• Assisting in the processing of invoices, expenses, and payments.• Reconciling accounts and ensuring accuracy of financial records• Collaborating with the team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations• Providing general administrative support as needed.Requirements:• Currently hold or studying towards a formal finance qualification (AAT/ ACCA)• Previous experience in accounting or finance administration role.• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.• Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, Quickbooks & Sage as well as Microsoft Excel.• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Effective communication and teamwork skills.If you are a motivated individual with a passion for accounting and finance and seeking an opportunity to grow in a dynamic environment, we encourage you to apply for this position.
