As an Assistant Manager, Client Administration you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals within their own respective disciplines. You will manage escalated client issues, quality control, employee attendance, and support and motivate the team.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Develop and evaluate policies & procedures
- Conduct/attend monthly team meetings
- Conduct & facilitates training sessions for the team
- Develop, create & execute job performance evaluations
- Document and address employee performance issues
- Provide solutions to escalated team issues
- Develop new procedures to improve the accuracy and efficiency of the department
- Assist team members in managing problem resolutions
- Provide guidance in addressing issues in the most efficient manner
- Develop methods to improve communication through departmental meetings
- Work closely with other managers to meet or exceed service levels
- Consult with other managers to establish workflow changes to meet department needs
- Resolve issues with Trust Accounting on reconciliation of client accounts
- Interact with and contribute to the success of other departments
- Strengthen knowledge of industry databases (iFast, AWD, OOD)
- Manage high volumes of work and escalate issues regarding service levels
- Report regularly on the status of productivity, volume, and accuracy
- Actively champion department and corporate goals
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
The Must Haves:
- University Degree preferred
- Completion of IFIC certification and Canadian Securities Course (CSC) is an asset
- A minimum 3 years’ experience in the mutual fund industry
- Knowledge of industry databases such as iFast, AWD & Salesforce
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Access & Word)
- Experience in leading a team and developing talent
- Bilingual (English & French) is an asset
- Experience working within a team environment
