The Assistant Manager will support a centre of expert knowledge leading on the emerging area of nature and contribute to the development of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategic position in this space.Job Description

- SALARY: £38,295 – £42,550
- HOURS: Full-time
- WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
The Group Environmental Sustainability (GES) team is pivotal to the Group, helping reduce the emissions we finance by more than 50 per cent by 2030 and supporting the UK’s ambition to be net zero by 2050. Our team plays a key role in support of our bold goals through working with our customers, Government, and the market.Within the GES team we have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager, Nature who will work closely with the Head of Nature and the wider specialist team. The Assistant Manager will support a centre of expert knowledge leading on the emerging area of nature and contribute to the development of Lloyds Banking Group’s strategic position in this space.About you:Passionate about supporting both nature and the UK’s ambition to be net zero by 2050?You’ll be keen to draw on your experience of nature-related issues and engage on these at an industry level. You’ll be supporting how nature is embedded in business decision making and be close to developments in nature-related data, metrics and the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD).You’ll need to be a good communicator with experience of adapting your communications to a wide range of audiences. You’ll work well with a variety of people and have experience in building and developing positive relationships.Responsibilities will include:Supporting a centre of expert knowledge for nature to assist the business and contributing to the development of LBG’s strategic position in this space.
- Support the assessment and management of nature-related risks and opportunities
- Support and collaborate closely with colleagues across other parts of LBG, such as reporting, strategy, business unit propositions and risk
- Support knowledge sharing on nature with colleagues across all levels
- Support with existing partnerships related to nature
- Support the preparation of briefings as required for Senior Executives ahead of meetings and events
We expect to be working in a hybrid manner with some key meetings and collaboration based in London.Essential skills and experience:
- Understanding of nature and climate interactions and trade-offs
- Good understanding of nature-related data, metrics and developments in the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and key nature regulation
- Evidence of crafting excellent written communications
- Able to convey sophisticated subjects simply, adapting your style and approach based on the audience
- Evidence of collaborating across teams to deliver initiatives for mutual benefit
- Desire for a career in a fast paced, strategic environment
